Hi everyone, my name is Brendan Ball and I am the President and Eminent Commander of the Sigma Nu, Zeta Xi Chapter, at UC Davis. Thank you for visiting our website. Whether you are a parent, alumni, UC Davis Student or member of the public I hope you can see the brotherhood and the successes of this chapter.
Sigma Nu was founded at the Virginia Military Institute in 1869 as an organization that opposed hazing and represented the values of Love, Honor and Truth. The Zeta Xi chapter strongly maintains these principles, representing the best of the hundreds of Sigma Nu chapters that have been founded around the country.
As a fraternity, our mission is to shatter the negative stereotypes that are associated with college fraternities. Accomplishing this mission is no easy task. It involves getting involved with organizations on and off campus, giving back to our community through community service, and ensuring each brother is successfully maintaining their academic rigor.
Brotherhood is the cynosure of all of the things we do here at the Zeta Xi chapter. Everyday we give opportunities for our members to grow and learn from one another. Through this, our brothers take pride in being a Sigma Nu, and wear our letters with honor. We emphasize the importance of being balanced college students, which is shown through our ability to maintain the top GPA among all fraternities as well as our consistency in being involved in countless organizations and clubs on campus. Our ambition and commitment to constant improvement has led us to become a consecutive winner of the UC Davis IFC Fraternity of the Year Award for 5 years as well as a repeating Rock Chapter of the Sigma Nu Fraternity.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our site. If you would like to stop by our chapter house, we have returned to our original alumni house at 101 Russell Blvd, Davis, CA. Please feel free to contact me at, biball@ucdavis.edu, with any additional questions.
Sincerely,
Brendan Ball
